Hockey & Floorball

Things to know:

  • Floorball has no offsides or icings. It only has the center line and the goalie crease.
  • The court is 40m x 20m with boards that are 50cm high.
  • The play is stopped only when there is a goal, the ball goes out of play, a stick infraction and a penalty.
  • When the ball goes out of play, the team that touches the ball last forfeits possession to the other team. The play restarts with a free hit where the ball left the rink on the sidelines.
  • Stick infractions are when one player hits an opponent’s stick. The only time it’s not considered a stick infraction is if the player makes contact with the ball prior to hitting the stick.
  • Stick infractions can be given penalties. Especially when it’s too a player in a scoring position. When a stick infraction occurs a team gets a free hit from where the infraction occurred.
